Working with Mediterranean themes has always been a profound joy for Xena Lazarevica; yet, reimagining a traditional Cypriot tavern within the legendary Elysium Hotel was a singular honour. In the Mediterraneo project, XENA INTERIOR VISIONS elevated the raw charm of the fisherman’s spirit to the realm of fairy-tale luxury. The foundation of the space is laid in authentic Kivides stone — Cyprus’s natural treasure — complemented by the sun-drenched warmth of natural timber.
The design here is a rhythmic dialogue between earth and sea. Bottomless azure tones meet the tactile honesty of woven ropes and maritime accents, paying homage to the island’s seafaring heritage. It is a space where the sophisticated traveller feels the spray of the ocean and touches the history of Cyprus, all while remaining in the embrace of five-star elegance. This is a labyrinth of taste — a hymn to the fisherman’s life, reimagined for those who demand nothing less than the extraordinary.
